
Dr. Scott Vadala is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University where he graduated summa cum lauded with honors. He then attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, where he was honored as an inductee in the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
For his post-graduate training, he completed an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, followed by a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Dean McGee Eye Institute at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK.
Dr. Vadala’s clinical expertise is focused on corneal disease and surgery including full-thickness and partial-thickness (DMEK and DSAEK) transplant procedures, ocular surface disease and surgery, standard and complex cataract surgery including secondary intraocular lens implantation and intraocular lens exchange, and refractive surgery including PRK and premium cataract surgery.
He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society.
He recently moved to Phoenix and is excited to explore the natural beauty of Arizona and the Southwest with his goldendoodle. He also enjoys golf, tennis, running, cooking, and board games.
